Womens Weekend 2009

Instead of going to stay at Lanesboro, we decided to keep it local as Gary was recovering from his accident still and Jim L. decided to have his own little medical episode. Friday night we had supper and fireworks at Aunties. Saturday we drove to Lanesboro and spent the afternoon there checking out the sights and shops. Came home to have supper at Aunties again. sunday morning everyone attended Church in Alden and had Brunch at Aunties. Stephanie is putting together the notes from the weekend to disperse to everyone. Still had a fun weekend.

New plans for Womens Weekend

Since Gary is still recovering from his accident and Jim L. had a medical issue, we decided to forgo staying in Lanesboro and will be staying home. We will; however, take a day trip to Lanesboro on Saturday. Friday night we will have supper at Aunties, also on Saturday night. There may also be a tour of old homestead to see the latest remodeling job.

Two activities for the weekend

There are two options for on Saturday.

There is an Amish Tour that is $30 per person and it is about two and a half hours. I figured those of us that went on the Amish tour could go at 10am and when we got back from that we would all do lunch somewhere.

The other option is The Commonwheel Theatre that is doing a production of either The Rainmaker or The Odd Couple and tickets to that are $25 a piece. I believe the show is at 7pm or 730pm.

Both of these require reservations. For those that are interested in the Amish tour let me know by June 19th and if you are interested in the Theatre let Bette know by June 19th also so tickets can be purchased and seats are all together.

Womens Weekend 2009

I am going to get a hold of Brewsters Red Hotel to find out what they have and don't have so we know what we will need to bring.
